Sophia has always had a deep love for animals. Growing up with dogs, she spent her childhood teaching her family pets new tricks and behaviors. Just before graduating high school, she brought home Maisie—her first Border Collie. Maisie was a challenging puppy who required specialized training, which led Sophia to begin taking classes and private lessons from a local trainer. As she learned more about herding breeds and canine behavior, she quickly realized she had found her passion.

Sophia went on to mentor under that trainer for about a year, gaining extensive hands-on experience. Shortly after, she was offered a full-time position with another local trainer, where she trained dogs and managed a kennel in Nashville. Later, she moved closer to Gallatin and joined another training program, where she spent four years as one of the lead trainers.

During this time, Sophia worked with a wide range of breeds and behavioral needs—puppies, general obedience dogs, fearful dogs, and even severe cases of dog and human aggression. She has also fostered numerous adult dogs and puppies, rehabilitating many of them and helping them find their forever homes. Her passion spans both rescue and well-bred dogs.

Today, Sophia shares her life with two Border Collies, Maisie and Rival, whom she trains and competes with in multiple sports including agility, disc, dock diving, and sheep herding. She also has experience training and handling dogs for media projects. Both of her dogs have appeared in commercials and campaigns for companies such as Terminix and Amazon, as well as in music videos and product shoots
